Euless beats Louisiana 4-3 after comeback scare

Euless survived a determined comeback attempt by Louisiana on the way to a 4-3 win.

Euless made the score 4-2 on a goal by Benjamin Kraus at 15:02 in the third period, and Louisiana got as close as 4-3 when Davis VanGemerden scored 15:12 into the third period.

Kraus had a great game for Euless, netting two goals.

Euless\’ offense rang up 39 shots on Louisiana\’s net. Euless bested its season scoring average. This season, Euless averages 1.7 goal per contest.

Euless also had goals scored by Cody Gottfreid and Anthony Chavez, who each put in one. More assists for Euless came via Brandon Wade, Kayne Fedor, Kyle Dudley, Trent Wolter, and Wyatt Gentry, who contributed one each.

Louisiana forced Euless goalie Thomas Bailey to work between the pipes, taking 45 shots.

Louisiana was helped by Brayden Hutchinson, who finished with one goal. Hutchinson scored 10:12 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Louisiana. Tucker Alspaugh picked up the assist. Jacob Istre also scored for Louisiana. In addition, Louisiana received assists from Dante Juris and Mitch Dolese, who each chipped in one.

Thomas Bailey made 42 saves for Euless on 45 shots. Euless incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Logan Quebedeaux recorded 35 saves for Louisiana. Louisiana incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
