This past Friday night the Jr. Stars took out the Jr. Brahmas 5-2 where William Rooney opened the game with 2 goals (Delaney, Sheridan) (Wood, Sheridan), Thomas Delaney (Chavez) increased the lead in the 2nd, and Ian Linna and Chase Deacon (Wilson) tacked on goals each following a Jr. Brahmas score. Maxwell Kerner picked up 45 saves in his win.
Saturday night was not as successful of an effort for the Jr. Stars as they dropped a 5-1 contest to Texas with Matt Greco picking up his second goal of the season for the Jr. Stars with help from Nick Sheridan and Remi Kesling. Nick Hart was given the loss after saving 26 out of 31 shots.
The Stars final 3 regular season games will come against the Louisiana Drillers. The Jr. Stars will fight to pass the Point Mallard Ducks to earn the third best seed out of the South Division. This battle will be aided by the fact that the Jr. Stars are 6-3 this season against the Drillers who will end their season without a playoff position this weekend.
