Gentry leads Euless over Louisiana, 7-2

Wyatt Gentry had two goals and one assist to lead Euless to a 7-2 victory over Louisiana.

Gentry scored at 6:13 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Euless and again while on the power play 33 seconds into the third to make the score 4-2 Euless.

Euless pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 26 penalty minutes.

Euless forced Louisiana\’s goalies to work between the pipes, racking up 38 shots and forcing 31 saves. Sean Angle made 25 stops and Alex Domas made six. Euless excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances. Euless\’ goal total was higher than its season average. Euless has scored at the pace of 2.3 goals per game during the current campaign.

Euless additionally got points from Benjamin Kraus, who also had one goal and three assists, Kayne Fedor, who also registered two goals and two assists to lead the team in points, and Triston Wilson, who also registered one goal and one assist. Ian Linna also scored for Euless. More assists for Euless came via Johnathon Krause, who had one and Nick Snyder, who had two.

Euless was unable to stop Louisiana from sending pucks towards the net, and Louisiana eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. Louisiana could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 30 minutes in penalties during the game.

Thomas Bailey made 30 saves for Euless on 32 shots. Euless registered three goals on nine power play opportunities.
