JR Stars Sign Dudley

Jun 15, 2015

June 15, 2015 (Dallas) Just one day before the draft the JR Stars announced the signing of local product Kyle Dudley for the 2015/16 season. Dudley (5'9", 170lb) is a defenseman from the DFW Metroplex and played his youth hockey with the Allen Americans. JR Stars' GM Reggie Hall made the announcement.

"Kyle skated in camp with us last Spring and caught our attention then. We knew he had another season of eligibility at 18U and felt he would develop well with the American's hard skating style" said Hall. "We got a chance to see him in controlled scrimmages with Allen early on last season and we felt he would be a good fit for us this season. We had intentions of calling him up for some games later in the year but a knee injury sidelined him in January" continued Hall

In 15 games with the Americans Kyle posted 2G, 13A and 16 PIMS. Before his injury the Allen Capitan was sixth in the League for scoring by defensmen. The Allen coaching staff was very high on Dudley and characterized hims a "smart, tough offensive defenseman". That is a style that fits extremely well with the JR Stars culture.

The JR Stars will hold Main Camp in Euless on August 14-16. For information or to register visit www.starsjrhockey.com
