JR Stars Sign Snyder

Apr 21, 2015

April 21, 2015 – (Dallas) The Dallas JR Stars today announced that Defenseman Nick Snyder has signed with the team for the 2015/16 season. Snyder (5'10",160) played with Kent Valley (Tier I) High School in Washington State. In 50 games with the Raniers, Nick recorded 17G, 23A, 40P with 38 PIMs. The right shooting defensman will be a Senior this fall.

"I saw Nick immediately when he took his first shift at the Americas' Showcase event last week", said JR Stars GM Reggie Hall. "Nick is not the biggest guy but he is responsible in his own zone and handles the puck as well as most forwards. He is an offensive threat every time is on the ice. We are looking for big things from him next season as he continues to grow and mature" continued Hall.

Snyder already has experience living and playing away from home and both he and his parents saw the opportunity in Dallas as a gateway to the collegiate level.

Nick is the first player tendered by the JR Stars from the Americas' Showcase event this year. Look for several more announcements to follow shortly.
