Late goal helps the Jr. Stars defeat the Brahmas 2-1

Tyler Schulz scored the game winning goal late in the game as the Mid Cities Jr. Stars defeat the the Texas Brahmas 2-1 in a home game at NYTEX Sports Center in Mid Cities. As well, the Mid Cities Jr. Stars' offense had a big night, peppering Texas with 27 shots throughout the game.

Nick Sheridan delivered for his team with 2 assists.

In the first, Caesar opened the scoring for the Jr. Stars with a goal at 11:34 with helpers from his linemates, Sheridan and Greco.

During the third, Cote finally put the Brahmas on the board with a goal at 19:10 with assists from Bickford and Bersani. Schulz quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 19:49 with a helper from Sheridan.

Mid Cities’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Ange’s big night as he stopped 35 of the 36 shots he faced. Ange’s counterpart, Myers, also had a big night, managing to stop 25 of 27, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Mid Cities Jr. Stars’ record to (24-22-4-0).
