The Jr. Stars crushed the Brahmas 4-1

Matthew Lenz came up big, stopping 26 of 27 shots throughout the game. The Mid Cities Jr. Stars took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Nick Sheridan and never looked back.

Nick Sheridan did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first, Schulz opened the scoring for the Jr. Stars with a goal at 6:29 with a helper from Greco. Bombardir answered for the Brahmas with a goal at 10:01 with assists from Sykes and Ripley. Sheridan quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 11:13 with helpers from Wood and Allen.

During the second period, Rooney put in a goal at 6:00 with assists from Sheridan and Fisher. Kesling scored a goal at 11:09 with helpers from his teammates Simpson and Nick.

The Jr. Stars’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Lenz’s big night as he stopped 26 of the 27 shots he faced. On the other hand, Lenz’s counterpart, Murison, and the Brahmas’ defense saw a few pucks go by allowing 4 goals in 28 shots.

This win brings the Mid Cities Jr. Stars’ record to (30-16-1-0).
