The Jr. Stars crushed the Drillers 6-2

The Mid Cities Jr. Stars' offense had a big night, peppering the Louisiana Drillers with 59 shots throughout the game. The Mid Cities Jr. Stars took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Matt Hutton.

Riley Smith delivered for his team with 2 goals and Nick Sheridan contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first, Krause opened the scoring for the Jr. Stars with a goal at 11:05 with a helper from his teammate Sheridan. Smith netted a goal at 19:03.

In the second period, Hutton put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 8:13 with assists from his linemates, High and Koehn. Sheridan quickly followed with a goal at 10:05 with a helper from Matthews. Smith scored a goal at 16:38 with assists from Nosov and Campbell. Kesling quickly followed with a goal at 17:11 with a helper from fellow Jr. Stars forward Schulz. Regino quickly followed with a goal at 18:48 with assists from his linemates, Vukasin and Morgan.

In the third, Watzka netted a goal at 18:16 with helpers from Dolese and Bloemer.

Mid Cities’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Ange as he stopped 13 of the 15 shots he faced. Ange’s counterpart, Clifford, also had a big night, managing to stop 52 of 58, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Mid Cities Jr. Stars’ record to (8-4-0-0).
