Oct 21, 2017

Jake Ange posted a shutout, stopping all 24 of the Louisiana Drillers shots throughout the game. The Mid Cities Jr. Stars took the lead late in the first on a goal from Riley Smith and never looked back.

Dalton Caesar had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first period, Smith opened the scoring for the Jr. Stars with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 16:41 with helpers from his teammates Caesar and Harrison.

During the second, Hutton deposited a goal at 3:50. Martin put in a goal at 12:46 with an assist from Kesling.

In the third, Caesar netted a goal at 5:39 with a helper from defenseman Nosov.

Mid Cities’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Ange’s shutout, as he stopped all 24 of the shots he faced. Ange’s counterpart, Kazoleas, also had a big night, managing to stop 37 of 41, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Mid Cities Jr. Stars’ record to (9-4-0-0).
