Drew Lind named as new Assistant Coach

Aug 8, 2021

Drew grew up in Northern Minnesota and played all of his youth hockey for the Hibbing BlueJackets of the Iron Range Conference,  he then went on to pursue his education at Minnesota State University before moving to Texas to play lacrosse.  After retiring from Lacrosse, Drew began coaching hockey at the youth level.

Drew has more than 25 years of coaching experience at the youth, high school, and club hockey levels in Texas.  For the 2021 High School season, Drew was a key part of the coaching lineup for Flower Mound/Marcus Hockey, helping push the Varsity Gold Team to win the 2020-21 State Championship.  He has been with the Flower Mound/Marcus Organization for 6 years and has also assisted with the Mckinney North Stars and HCD-Dallas at the Travel Level.

He is a successful motivator, a strong team builder, and the kind of coach every player seeks to play for.  He provides a great example not only on the ice, but in their lives off the ice as well.

Drew will continue coaching for the Flower Mound/Marcus HS in addition to assisting coaching duties with the Mid-Cities Stars of the NA3HL this Fall.  He hopes to grow skill, motivation, and opportunities for the Mid-Cities Junior Star players.  We look forward to seeing his passion for the game, on and off the ice!

Drew resides in Corinth with his wife Sue, and his sons Blake and BC.
