Nick Sheridan chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Chase Deacon did his part, adding 2 assists. Niki Raiskio delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
In the first period, Greco opened the scoring for Euless with a goal at 1:33 with a helper from defenseman Allen. Van Gemerden answered for the Drillers with a goal at 10:22 with helpers from his teammates Raiskio and Kause. Raiskio put in a goal at 16:39 with assists from Weber and Prewett.
In the second period, Delaney answered for Euless with a goal at 9:02 with a helper from fellow Jr. Stars forward Deacon. Sheridan deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 12:33 with an assist from defenseman Olson.
During the third, Synder put in a goal at 9:20 with a helper from Sheridan. Caesar netted a goal at 12:20 with assists from his linemates, Wilson and Deacon.
The Jr. Stars’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Hart’s big night as he stopped 36 of the 38 shots he faced. Hart’s counterpart, Lake, also had a big night, managing to stop 23 of 28, but ultimately fell short.
