Just three days away from the start of Main Camp and the Stars got great news as they learned that goaltender Chris Mallon will be returning to the team for the 14/15 season. The Burnsville, Minnesota native battled through injury and the team's roster challenges during the early part of the inaugural season with both getting healthy just as the playoffs began.

The 6'3", 195 lb netminder posted a 12-9 record in the Stars' first season as the team struggled through early season depth woes. But as the season wore on and the Stars added more players the team and Mallon peaked headed into the playoffs. In four playoff games (including three against regular season champion Topeka), Chris posted a 3-1 record, a GAA of 2.74 and a save percentage of .914. His play was a difference maker in the series victory against Topeka on the road in the second round of the NA3HL playoffs.

The first season is always tough but Mallon's play was a key reason the Stars were positioned to break out the last month of the seaon to capture home ice in the first round of the playoffs. "I am loving the signings I've been seeing! Looks like we will have a solid team this season. I can't wait to get back to Dallas and get to work." said Mallon from his home in Minnesota.

Chris we are pretty excited to have you back in Victory Green!
