JR Stars Sign A Pair

Jun 22, 2015

June 22, 2015 (Dallas) The JR Stars announced today the signing of two veteran players with ties to the DFW Metroplex. Brandon and Aaron Wade played their youth hockey in Dallas and played together with the Allen Americans program before leaving two years ago to play for New Jersey in the Metropolitan League. With two seasons of Juniors under their belts the Wade Brothers are expected to provide added maturity and leadership to the JR Stars. GM Reggie Hall made the announcement.

In addition to leadership, the Wade's bring much needed size to the JR Stars' lineup. "It is no secret that we were a bit undersized last season" said Hall. "We had guys with big hearts but we just didn't match up physically in our division and there were some teams that tried to exploit that. That won't happen again with guys like Brandon (6'0", 210) and Aaron (6'0", 220) in our lineup."

In two seasons with New Jersey, Brandon (D) played 74 games with 7G, 15A and 22P. Aaron (F) appeared in 70 games and had 2G, 12A and 14P.

The JR Stars are an affiliate of the Coulee Region Chill (NAHL) and will conduct Main Camp in Euless, Texas August 14-16. For information or to register please visit www.starsjrhockey.com
