JR Stars Sign Bailey

Jun 2, 2015

June 2, 2015 (Dallas) In keeping with the mantra that you build from the net out, the JR Stars grabbed another important piece of the puzzle Tuesday evening as they announced the signing of Kentwood, Michigan goalie Tommy Bailey. Bailey (5'10", 175) joins the Stars from Grand Rapids Catholic Central High School. JR Stars GM Reggie Hall made the announcement this evening.

Last season with GR Catholic HS Bailey posted a 15-3-1 record with a GAA of 1.65 and a save percentage of .933. Five of his wins were by shutout. He was twice been named First Team All State in Michigan High School and this past year was a nominee for the Warrior Michigan HS Hockey Player of the Year honors.

Erik Stapleton, the JR Stars' scout in Michigan spotted Tommy and worked to bring him into the organization. "Tommy is extremely athletic, competes on every shot and tracks the puck really well. He is a difference maker in nets" said Stapleton.

The JR Stars are pleased to welcome Tommy to the family.
