The Jr. Stars would like to welcome Assistant Coach Ben Osborne to our staff!!

Ben Osborne is the newest addition to the Euless Jr Stars coaching staff and is a native of Madison, Wisconsin. He comes to the Jr Stars with an extensive playing resume. Osborne played for the Madison Capitals AAA program, spent two years in the Minnesota Junior Hockey League (Tier III), went on to the NAHL (Tier II) Texas Tornados where he spent two years and was part of a National Championship team with a record of 71-7-2. Ben finished his career in the USHL (Tier I) with the Indiana Ice, an injury caused an end to his playing days.

Ben had this to say about joining the Euless Jr. Stars, "I am grateful to be given the opportunity with the Jr. Stars and am excited to be back in junior hockey to help these young men excel to the next level."

"Having Ben be a part of our junior hockey program is very exciting," said owner Michelle Bryant. "Ben has worked his way up the junior hockey ladder and is a great role model for our players as they look to accomplish the same goals."

Here's what Head Coach Babineau has to say about Ben joining our staff, "I am very excited to see Ben develop as a coach in our league. I have known Ben a long time and his knowledge and passion for the game has already made an impact to our team and will help us in many areas of player development in the weeks and months ahead. Ben has played at all three tiers of junior hockey including a national championship team, he knows what it takes to succeed."

Ben is now a local resident of Texas. He lives in Little Elm with his wife Angie and their 4 year old daughter Makenzie. Osborne is a firefighter for the Grand Prairie Fire Department and has been with the department for 5 years; Angie works as a nurse at Dallas Children’s Hospital. Osborne began his coaching debut along side Babineau this past weekend.
