Sheridan's hat trick helped the Jr. Stars crush the Spirit 6-0

Nick Sheridan led the way with a hat trick as the Mid Cities Jr. Stars crushed the College Station Spirit 6-0 in a home game at Spirit Ice Arena in Mid Cities. Also, the Mid Cities Jr. Stars' offense had a big night, peppering the Spirit with 63 shots throughout the game, to go along with Matthew Lenz's shutout. The Mid Cities Jr. Stars took the lead early in the first on a goal from Snyder Nick and never looked back.

Conor Simpson did his part, adding 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Blake Wood contributed with 2 assists.

In the first, Nick opened the scoring for the Jr. Stars with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 4:45 with helpers from Speights and Simpson. Koehn put in a goal at 11:38 with helpers from his linemates, Rooney and Greco. Sheridan netted a goal at 13:39 with assists from his linemates, Simpson and Speights.

In the second, Sheridan scored a goal at 12:57 with assists from his linemates, Kesling and Greco. Sheridan deposited a goal at 16:26 with helpers from Wood and Allen.

During the third, Simpson netted a goal at 6:22 with assists from Sheridan and Wood.

Mid Cities’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Lenz’s shutout, as he stopped all 38 of the shots he faced. Lenz’s counterpart, O’toole, also had a big night, managing to stop 57 of 63, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Mid Cities Jr. Stars’ record to (25-12-1-0).
