The Jr. Stars crushed the Drillers 4-1

The Mid Cities Jr. Stars' offense had a big night, peppering the Louisiana Drillers with 47 shots throughout the game. The Mid Cities Jr. Stars took the lead late in the first on a goal from Brandon Speights and never looked back.

Jason Koehn delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Nick Sheridan did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first period, Kesling opened the scoring for the Jr. Stars with a goal at 13:29 with a helper from defenseman Fugger. Speights deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 18:39 with helpers from Harrison and Fugger.

In the second, Watzka finally put the Drillers on the board with a goal at 6:57.

In the third, Koehn answered for Mid Cities with a goal at 14:59 with assists from his linemates, Sheridan and Greco. Sheridan deposited a goal at 18:30 with helpers from Koehn and Harrison.

The Jr. Stars’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Vanwinkle as he stopped 19 of the 20 shots he faced. Vanwinkle’s counterpart, Kazoleas, also had a big night, managing to stop 43 of 47, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Mid Cities Jr. Stars’ record to (14-5-1-0).
