The Jr. Stars crushed the Drillers 6-3

The Mid Cities Jr. Stars' offense had a big night, peppering the Louisiana Drillers with 33 shots throughout the game. The Mid Cities Jr. Stars took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Matt Greco.

Nick Sheridan did his part, adding 2 goals and Tristan Matthews contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first, Kesling opened the scoring for the Jr. Stars with a goal at 18:17 with a helper from Greco. Sheridan quickly followed with a goal at 19:09 with assists from Allen and Matthews. Sheridan quickly followed with a goal at 19:38.

During the second, Alspaugh finally put the Drillers on the board with a goal at 2:17. Bloemer deposited a goal at 4:28 with a helper from defenseman Dolese. Greco quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 5:07 with an assist from fellow Jr. Stars forward Kesling. Morgan answered for the Drillers with a goal at 7:47 with a helper from his teammate Vukasin. Matthews answered for Mid Cities with a goal at 19:28 with assists from his linemates, Simpson and Kesling.

In the third period, Smith deposited a goal at 3:09 with a helper from defenseman Nick.

The Jr. Stars’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Ange as he stopped 15 of the 18 shots he faced. Ange’s counterpart, Varricchio, also had a big night, managing to stop 27 of 33, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Mid Cities Jr. Stars’ record to (2-1-0-0).
