The Jr. Stars fall to the Drillers 6-5

Ravi Khatri came up big, stopping 10 of 14 shots throughout the game. The Louisiana Drillers took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Brandon Vukasin.

Brandon Vukasin contributed with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Mitch Dolese did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Greco opened the scoring for Mid Cities with a goal at 4:21 with a helper from fellow Jr. Stars forward Schulz. Hutton quickly followed with a goal at 5:13 with a helper from Brain. Dolese finally put the Drillers on the board with a goal at 7:49 with an assist from his defensive partner, Alspaugh. Morgan quickly followed with a goal at 8:13 with helpers from his teammates Smith and Morgan. Hale scored a goal at 17:08 with an assist from Vukasin.

During the second period, Hutton answered for Mid Cities with a goal at 1:19 with a helper from his linemate Smith. Alspaugh answered for the Drillers with a goal at 7:13. Vukasin deposited a goal at 13:38 with assists from Alspaugh and Jorajuria.

In the third period, Hutton answered for the Jr. Stars with a goal at 10:25 with a helper from defenseman Campbell. Vukasin answered for Louisiana with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 14:16 with an assist from defenseman Dolese. High answered for Mid Cities with a goal at 17:39 with helpers from his linemates, Sheridan and Hutton.

This loss brings the Mid Cities Jr. Stars’ record to (4-2-0-0).
