The Jr. Stars shutout the Drillers 5-0

The Mid Cities Jr. Stars' offense had a big night, peppering the Louisiana Drillers with 43 shots throughout the game, to go along with Jake Ange's shutout. The Mid Cities Jr. Stars took the lead early in the second on a goal from Matt Greco.

Conor Simpson delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Nick Sheridan had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the second, Greco opened the scoring for the Jr. Stars with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 1:14 with helpers from his teammates Campbell and Simpson. Simpson deposited a goal at 16:40 with helpers from Fugger and Allen. Sheridan quickly followed with a goal at 17:53.

In the third, Nick netted a goal at 5:54 with an assist from Sheridan. Caesar scored a goal at 9:54 with a helper from High.

The Jr. Stars’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Ange’s shutout, as he stopped all 27 of the shots he faced. Ange’s counterpart, Kazoleas, also had a big night, managing to stop 38 of 43, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Mid Cities Jr. Stars’ record to (3-1-0-0).
