Weekend Preview: East Coast Swing

Nov 19, 2021

The Jr. Stars are finding themselves outside of the friendly confines of the Children’s Health StarCenter in Euless and on the road for the first time in over a month as they head out East to face off against the Atlanta Capitals.

It has been a tough season for the Capitals as they head into the weekend last in the South Division and winless through 16 games with a 0-6-0-0 record at home. Their best game was October 30th, where they lost 4-3 against the Texas Brahmas on the road. Goaltender Paul Jarvis stopped 52/56 shots.

It is a series that can’t be overlooked if you are the Jr. Stars, who are winless in their last five games, a season-long streak. Mid-Cities defenseman, Ozzy MacDonald, suggested that despite the losses the previous weekend against the RoadRunners, the team galvanized together and found ways to battle through different scenarios and expects them to come out as a better team against the Capitals.

Mid-Cities head into the weekend 6th in the South Division with 10 points in 18 games played. 7:30 p.m. EST start time for the games tonight and Saturday, with a noon EST start on Sunday.
